Eorzea a realm that has been long racked by calamity and disaster. With the Gralean empire however focused on nursing it's own wounds, the beastmen equally quiet, and the warrior of light once again faded into the ether, maybe at last this broken realm would find some sense of peace. In Ul'dah the city is embroiled in it's normal chaos. The syndicate as ever is following it's own machinations, though with a new sultana, and new members who knows just what may happen next. All that is obvious is the life of the poor and the refugees simply never changes, without hard work and a lot of luck.

For the second time Ta'vren lowered his ears, and even ducked his head down slightly, in acknowledgement that okay he maybe wasn't following any social norms. Not that he ever had in any typical fashion. At least not within his own clan. Still that didn't stop him giving his own growl at the flippant attitude of the other Miqo'te towards them. "But... they're people... they had hopes and dreams" he protested. The idea that just because there was no money in it for anyone meant it to be unimportant... it felt foreign to him. [break][break] "This isn't just missing merchandise...it's people... it's living people with feelings....." he reiterated quieter that time though as if trying to pursuade the other Miqo'te about something morally right, at least in his eyes, while almost acknowledging that it would be hopeless. "And it's not right that no one will do anything about it until it affects the higher ups" he added on folding his arms stubbornly. [break][break] He looked over at S'avryn quietly tilting his head a bit trying to guess a way of talking him into caring, even if he figured it was probably futile. "Besides, it's better then sitting still..." which was again typically the reason he wanted to find out what was going on. There was nothing of interest to him in the adventurers guild, and this struck him as enough of an adventure. "It's either that or I'm going to end up trying to climb the city walls to feel less restless," his ears flattened again as he recalled how many times he'd been scolded in his own tribe for being unable to stay still, for constantly fidgetting, or running off midway through a lesson.... that had....hurt. The punishment, but it had been so much fun just to feel the air racing past as he ran, the way the forest had evolved around him, the feel of bark under his hands as he'd clambered the tallest tree he could find to hide.
The other Miqo'te caught Ta'vren's attention, but that was more out of looking for people to bother.... among other situations that typically happened. He tiled his head, amber-orange eyes focusing more out of curiousity, tail still flicking gently. Not that staying still to observe further before he considered approaching was an idea he stook to. Not when he heard some more people just gossiping about the kidnappings near to the other. So instead he took the option to almost casually approach, slowly taking a seat next to the other. [break][break] "What do you make of the kidnappings?" he queried, ignoring the idea of introducing yourself first. Why would you want to waste time on that after all. Not that he was expecting much. [break][break] If there's one thing I've learnt by living here people don't tend to think of others... they tend to view them as.... disposable... or just disappearing like it's natural. The thought went briefly through his mind, ears lowering slightly at the idea that people meant so little. It was something he had never quite grown used to... that whole... concept. It felt so wrong to him, or maybe that was just his relative naievety. People... no matter what class they were though, they should mean something than just a throw away life. [break][break] He also couldn't help the fact he was fidgetting as he tried to get himself used to the idea of staying still, at least for long enough to talk briefly before he once again felt the need to run, or do anything to just get some of the itch to move out.

It was..... roughly past midday, and a faint sheen of sweat and dust coated the green haired Miqo'te. Still, his gaze was focused onwards, and upwards, ignoring the water and the fat repulsive amphibians that splashed through it below. So he needed to wade through that foul place was not pleasant but, he'd heard no one had ever been to the top of this place. No one had ever made the climb, so instead only rumours abounded. An ear flicked as he shifted to crouch low, tail also flicking slightly, focused on looking for a possible route up. [break][break]
His golden-brown eyes were scanning, as he fell into a rare moment of stillness, muscles tensing to hold his balance as he glanced around again. The first section would likely be the toughest, there'd be times he'd be nearly upside down but he was certain he could find a way... maybe heading for the right side. Though that would also put him in the full glare of the sun. Not ideal but still, feasible. [break][break]
Carefully he shifted his weight slightly balancing on the balls of his toes as he took another scan, then if he could work his way round, there was a nice crevice that looked perfect for cl-- a startled noise, only describeable as a yowl, escaped as he leapt forward at hearing something approach. Which would have been fine had he not been perched on the edge of the overhang into the water. As it was he ended up rolling into the water itself with an audible splash. At least I've cooled down now he thought to himself even as he shakily got to his feet, reaching to draw weapon, expecting trouble

It was morning. Early morning to be precise. The sun however was already risen, and with no clouds to block it, was starting to warm the ground - and the stone surface beneath the overly energetic Miqo'te. Not that for him he found this warmth overly rough to handle, at least not in his preferred garb. Nor was the sun causing him over much difficulties as he focused on finding his stride. [break][break] This morning, for want of anything better to do, given how early he had woke up, he had decided to burn energy by running up and down the steps. It was, at least to himself, an amazing way of waking up, building stamina, and generally getting himself ready for the day. Even as he ran he was keeping an eye on the cactuars, who he still found it a surprise with how docile they tended to be. [break][break] His tail was flicking lightly as he ran, his whole focus on his pace and rythmn, and watching ahead of him for any merchants. Because they would be likely travelling into the city...maybe. Coming in with wares, he paused as he reached the bottom of the steps, ears flicking. He was almost tempted to run ahead, move further away see if he could find any incoming merchants, run back alongside them, double up as a guard against beast men or thieves. After all surely both would be a threat, thieves more so than beastmen.
So we all know - I'm going to be changing this plot looking for as and when I have new ideas - but right now Ta'vren desires friends, maybe something more but currently friends. [break][break]
Friends will need to either be able to cope with Ta'vrens high energy, and either act as a balance or else be able to cope with how high energy he is and keep up with him [break][break]
Current possible methods and places of meeting:[break][break]
Ta'vren is always likely to run into someone or fall out of trees in front of people. [break]
Ta'vren has also found out about kidnapping [break]
You may also find him hanging out in the Quicksand

This wouldn't be the first time that the miqo'te was in Ul'dah, and it likely wouldn't be the last. One elongated long green ear flicked as instead he looked about eagery, tail gently swaying from side to side. Now the only problem for Ta'vren was where he would go. He.... was for once tired of the idea of hanging around at the Quicksand, there was nothing actually gaining his attention. [break][break]So it was he was looking for something to do so as to amuse himself. He gave a soft huff as he gazed around, before he gave a shrug. He'd may as well do some running first, just trying to burn energy, and it didn't take long for him to take off in a sprint, ears flicking as he listened around him. Suddenly something one of the guards said... a spate of kidnappings around the market area.... could be interesting. [break][break]Slowly then he padded off, ears flicking. He'd not actually found anything yet, and no guarantee that he would, but it could certainly be interesting. Wasn't like the guards would do anything - they were more focused on the elite, and from the gossip it was the poor and the refugees that were being targetted.

in the wooden chair beside my window, i wear a face born in the falling rain. i talk to shadows from a lonely candle, recite the phrases from the wall. i can't explain this holy pain. six days ago, my life had taken a tumble. the orders came from high above, they say. a need to use me once again - they've got my number. further the cause, boy. yes, you know the game. i'll wait here for days longer 'til sister comes to wash my sins away. she is the lady that can ease my sorrow. she brings the only friend that helps me find my way.

Ta'vren is a miqo'te with boundless energy, a tendancy towards mischief and rather easily bored. His mother and father indeed were almost certain that he was born to the wrong tribe. He also has a tendancy towards looking before he leaps, enjoys climbing trees (but is less good at getting out of them!) and generally finding everything to cause a mischief. His excessive energy can lead him into trouble but over all he's generally good hearted. [break][break]
One thing to be sure he finds pride in being a gladiator, and while typically his race is more suited as an archer, again he finds it easier to understand the concept of run in and hit everything very very hard. Also he tried archery once, he found very quickly that he didn't have the patience to do archery. One thing of note, Ta'vren has a big love towards shiny things. He also tends to -want- shiny things, regardless of if they're his or not. It can cause him to be driven to claim what he coverts by any means needed. [break][break]
Under all this facade however of a vibrant upbeat character is someone who's insecure. Who's never felt like they fit in properly, and with a desperate longing to belong. To have a group of friends of his own.

Physical appearance
Ta'vren has a wiry appearance to him, and despite tending to eat vast amounts of food (its rare to see him not eating something), he never puts weight on. Mayhaps that's to do with his seemingly endless energy levels. His hair is a dark green, and normally kept quite messy, falling around his long ears - that have a gold ring hanging from them. His style of attire tends to be one that is less armour and more intended to reveal the weak points, but it apparently doesn't bother him, always in brown - white and green as the colour combination. He also wears a brown leather - well he calls it a gorget but it's more akin to a collar, around his neck. [break][break]
His eyes are, as noted above, a golden brown and have a tendancy to appear rather intense, especially when he's focused on something, contrasting with the black eyeliner and tattoo's - those tattoos standing out even more against his pale skin. His skin tone is something he has to be mindful of in the desert, being rather prone to sunburn.
A brief history
Ta'vren was born to normal Keeper of the Moon parents, and was decidedly not normal. Both sought to encourage him to wait for it, to temper his impetuousness and to learn to appreciate the stillness... it didn't happen. Once he was old enough he left his home...and by left it should be gathered that he in reality ran away. Ran away from what he saw as constraints, strangling him. And he wandered, found a dead body and looted the sword, and just kept on wandering. [break][break] Eventually he arrived at Ul'dah....and a desire to belong struck him, and so he took himself to the Quicksand, and signed up as an adventurer. That and the promise of shinies. He also discovered about being a gladiator, and took it upon himself to discover all about that... and it seemed like fun. So, despite being told it probably wasn't a good suit for his wiry frame, he started to train himself. He may not be the best tank, but he enjoys it, and he certainly can keep enemies focus on him.
